Tele-pole mounting rules: State routes (OH-48, US-22, OH-123, etc.) have ODOT ROW — always mount on the cross-street side pole. City/village limits usually prohibit signs on utility poles in the public ROW. Unincorporated county & township roads are most permissive. Get written permission from the pole owner (AEP Ohio / Duke Energy) where possible. When in doubt, ask the property owner at the nearest corner.
